We are seeking an enthusiastic Pharmacy Dispenser to join our small friendly team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient dispensing of medications to patients. This position requires a strong commitment to patient care, adherence to pharmacy regulations, and collaboration with healthcare professionals to optimise medication administration.
Duties
Accurately dispense prescribed medications and ensure proper labelling according to pharmacy standards.
Assist in the preparation of medication doses.
Maintain accurate patient records and medication profiles to support effective medication management.
Provide excellent customer service by addressing patient inquiries and offering guidance on medication usage.
Collaborate with pharmacists and healthcare providers to ensure optimal patient care and medication safety.
Monitor inventory levels of medications and supplies, placing orders as needed to maintain stock.
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, policies, and procedures related to pharmacy operations.
Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with industry practices.
Requirements
Previous experience as a pharmacy dispenser/Level 2 is preferred.
Strong knowledge of medication administration procedures and pharmacy practices.
Excellent attention to detail with strong organisational skills.
Ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare professionals.
A commitment to providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.
Relevant qualifications or certifications in pharmacy practice are advantageous but not mandatory.
