NES Post Registration Foundation Programme

Published: 22/07/21

Are you or someone you employ nearing the end of the Foundation (Pre-registration) year?

Wondering what's next?

The NES Post Registration Foundation Programme is a new framework for workplace-based learning and development that will help you to shape the next steps in your career, helping you to gather the skills you need to be the best Pharmacist you can be - including gaining your Independent Prescribing qualification.

The programme is expected to take 2-2.5 years to complete (including completion of IP element), building your confidence and competence at a steady pace. The best part? For newly registered community pharmacists who are employed by a pharmacy owner, there is funding available for the pharmacy to allow you and your supervisor time to complete programme requirements!

You can read more about this programme in the attached document - if it sounds like it's for you, speak with your employer and then submit expression of interest before the deadline of the 31st of August!

If you have any questions, contact the Policy and Development team via enquiries@cps.scot
