If you are a community pharmacist employee, and completed your Community Pharmacy Independent Prescribing Training on the Community Pharmacy Scotland (CPS) / NHS Education for Scotland (NES) Programme, a Teach & Treat (T&T) session at one of the hubs is included as part of your programme. Once you have qualified, and have completed the four Clinical Skills days, you can apply to attend a session at one of the Teach & Treat Hubs.

The Teach & Treat Hubs are run by our team of T&T Lead Pharmacists who are also experienced independent prescribers, and provide excellent support for attendees in their ongoing independent prescriber development. CPIPs who have attended the T&T Hubs have given very positive feedback, describing how the experience has been a great chance for one-to-one support and peer review. You can learn more about the T&T hubs on your TURAS account at Teach and Treat for Common Clinical Conditions | Turas | Learn.

The NES Teach & Treat Hubs are available at a variety of locations across Scotland. We told you recently about two new hubs opening; we are pleased to confirm that the first of these is now open in Saracen Pharmacy in GG&C, with a further new opening coming in Garscadden next month. You can choose which T&T hub you would like to attend, subject to availability.  You can find further details on the process and locations on your TURAS account at Check List for attending a T&T Hub, locations and HB contacts | Turas | Learn.

If you have any questions, please contact us on enquiries@cps.scot.
