Courier Service - Prescription Bag Submissions

Published: 27/11/24

A calendar with the month of December 2024 highlighted. A delivery truck icon is next to the calendar, indicating the prescription collection courier date.

This is a friendly reminder about your next courier collection. The collection will take place on Tuesday, December 3rd, 2024.

With the busiest time of year approaching in community pharmacy, we thought it might be useful to remind you of some information around your prescription bag submissions.

  • Use 2 bags if you have more than 6,000 forms

  • Call us on 0131 467 7766 for more bags

  • Keep stock orders and PC70s separate

  • Include your GP34 Declaration Form (more of which can be ordered from your local health board - see further details here: https://www.cps.scot/stationery-contacts)

  • Tightly secure scripts with bands and then seal the bag

  • A CD34 (Declaration Form to declare the number of Private Forms/items in each submission) must be utilised when dispensing against any controlled drug private prescriptions.

    • This includes: Private Scottish Prescription Form PPCD(1), English FP10PCD form and Welsh WP10PCD form.

    • English and Welsh private prescription forms should be submitted and will be scanned and processed via nDCVP, although no payments will be made against the items/forms, due to prescription charges applying. Pharmacies should follow the same process as they do with PPCD(1).
