PCA(P)(2024)10 – Community Pharmacy Public Health Service Poster Campaigns

Published: 17/06/24

Purpose

This Circular advises Health Boards and community pharmacy contractors that a series of Public Health Service (PHS) poster campaigns is planned to be distributed to pharmacies over the course of 2024/25

Background

As part of the Public Health Service (PHS), community pharmacy contractors are required to display specified posters at set times to support national public health campaigns.

The contract for the management of Scottish Government posters in pharmacies moved to APS Group in March 2021. The PHS posters are now mailed direct to each pharmacy location by APS Group and pharmacy contractors should ensure the poster is displayed for the duration of the campaign.

Details

The campaign topics and timings for 2024/25 are being finalised. Details will be shared in advance of each campaign via health board primary care pharmacy leads and Community Pharmacy Scotland. Pharmacy contractors are asked to take note of these details and display posters when they arrive in the mail to support the national campaigns. Posters should remain on display until the following public health campaign commences.

Poster holders

If any pharmacy requires a replacement poster holder they should contact APS Group at email: stockorders.DPPAS@theapsgroup.com and a replacement will be sent.

The content of this Circular has been agreed with Community Pharmacy Scotland.
