Summary

This circular advises of changes to the Drug Tariff with respect to remuneration arrangements for the dispensing pool month of September 2022.

Detail

A change in the Drug Tariff in respect of the month of September 2022 will be made via a dispensing pool balancing payment.

An adjusted dispensing pool sustainability payment is introduced for the dispensing month September 2022 (paid November) only. The additional payment to each eligible contractor is calculated as 43.8% of the base dispensing pool payment for September 2022 – or where it applies, the minimum monthly payment. This will be shown and paid as ‘DP_Balance’ adjustment with the November payment schedules.

In addition, all community pharmacy contractors shall receive a ‘community pharmacy sustainability payment’ of £1,000 for September.  This will also be paid with November payment schedules.

Eligibility for the dispensing payment is to be on the pharmaceutical list on 1 September 2022 and have a calculated based dispensing payment for that month.
