Unscheduled Care PGD Audit

Published: 25/01/24

As part of our work with the Digital Prescribing and Dispensing Programme to move to paperless prescriptions, we urgently need your help!

There is an outstanding question about when a prescription will be "locked" at the nominated pharmacy, with some stakeholders asking for a model where a prescription could be pulled from one pharmacy to another to support patients whose normal pharmacy is closed or who cannot make it to their normal pharmacy. This would apply even if it has already been made up and is on the shelf awaiting collection. We believe that our unscheduled care PGD solves this issue for the majority of scenarios, but we need your help to understand if this is the case.

The ask: Please download and print the audit form, completing it from 26/01 to 04/02 and then submitting to Adam in the policy office. We've designed it to be as easy to use as possible, and sending it back in can be as simple as taking a photo and WhatsApping it back to us!

If you have any questions, please just get in touch directly with adam.osprey@cps.scot.
