Designated Prescribing Practitioner (DPP)

Published: 21/03/24

Young pharmacist checking medicine.

Many thanks to all the Independent Prescribers (IPs) across the network who are supporting trainee Community Pharmacy (CP) IPs as Designated Prescribing Practitioners (DPPs).

Here is another big ask!

As our strategy to train and develop CP IP Employees to deliver a prescribing service from community pharmacy continues, we need even more DPPs. To help achieve this, we are looking for your support and input.

  • Would you like to find out more about the role?

  • Could you support a CP IP Trainee as their DPP?

  • Would you like to join the DPP WhatsApp Group?

  • Would you like to join CPS discussion groups on how the role can be supported and developed?

Please get in touch on enquiries@cps.scot.
