Preparing your Courier Submission: Top Tips for 2024

Published: 10/01/24

It’s the New Year, and with that we wanted to refresh your memory on some top tips for packing your prescription submissions:

Please do:

  • Only include your barcoded, handwritten and completed MCR serial prescriptions.

  • Remove any stationery like sticky notes, staples, and Sellotape from your prescriptions before submitting.

  • Separate any PC70s, stock orders, and invoices and band these together.

  • Place all scripts banded together neatly into the bag.

  • Use more than one bag if you need to submit more than 6000 forms, marking the bags as “1 of 2”, “2 of 2”, etc.

Please don’t:

  • Place loose prescriptions in the bag.

  • Include any electronic UCF forms.

  • Put more than 6000 forms in one bag.

This ensures they can be processed swiftly on arrival at P&CFS and reduce the risk of any prescriptions becoming damaged in transit.

You can also view this handy video as a guide to preparing your submissions. If you have any questions on getting your submissions ready or about our courier service, please contact us at pharmacy.services@cps.scot or on 0131 467 7766.
