CPS Engages with Dame Jackie Baillie at Holyrood

Published: 24/04/25

Community Pharmacy Scotland (CPS) was pleased to meet with Dame Jackie Baillie MSP on Tuesday at The Scottish Parliament to discuss the vital role of community pharmacy in Scotland's healthcare system.

The discussion included Vice Chair of the CPS Board, James Semple, Chief Executive, Matt Barclay, and me, Sarah Scott, Policy and PR Pharmacist. We covered a range of pressing and forward looking topics including current medicine shortages, the evolving landscape of digital prescribing, and the key ambitions set out in our newly developed CPS Strategy.

Our upcoming strategy (set to be officially launched soon) outlines our vision for the future of the community pharmacy network, and it was encouraging to engage with Dame Jackie Baillie on the importance of continued support and innovation in our sector.

Keep your eyes peeled for the full strategy launch!
