April 2024 Drug Tariff Annual Reset

The annual reset of the Drug Tariff has now been undertaken by Public Health Scotland. This is where they balance the value of the tariff by modulating molecules up or down with a view to delivering the same overall value against volume and having outlier prices brought in line as part of the process. This is a long-established process and we at CPS have verified and double checked this as we always do and are in agreement with the balancing process.  Thank you for your patience in allowing this to be completed resulting in the delay of the publishing of April Part 7.

You will notice a high volume of lines that have been changed this month.  As always if there any lines of concern that arise as we proceed through the year, please report via our shortage reporter as normal.
